New Blog On The Block

My lovely Boss Elaine aka Ellapu over at Eclectic Ellapu is launching a Brand Spanking new blog called

"Altered Eclectics"

It is a monthly challenge blog with an anything goes theme and is souly for altered items, NO cards, layouts or Atc's.

Some of my fellow Eclectics are joining the DT but Elaine is also looking for new blood and is having a DT call until 31st May. If you think you have something to offer wh not enter via Miss Linky.

I'm in awe of people who do altered art, I just wouldn't know where to begin but would like to dabble now and again.

Eclectic Ellapu - Purple Challenge

Good Morning everyone,

Time for another Purple Challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu and this week our theme was chosen by the lovely Jacki and it is "Pink and Black and add a skull".

So I have made a pocket fold card and decorated this chipboard skull.

For the outside of the card I used a mixture of pink and black gingham paper by "Craft Creations" and the sentiment is by "LOTV". I coloured Tilda with promarkers and distressed her with black ink. I added some hessian which I coloured with promarkers and embellished with pearls and gems from my stash.

I covered the skull with scrap pieces of pink gingham paper and then covered it with crackle glaze. I edged the skull with black sequins for sparkle when it's hanging and threaded black ribbon through the hole to hang it up. The back of the skull was painted black.

A little bit out of my comfort zone with this challenge. Please check out the totally awesome inspiration from my fellow purplies and welcome our new team members here.

A Quick little share

Good Afternoon,

Just a quick little share for you. This was a custom request for a lady going through a divorce. I have used off cuts of card and papers and embellished with butterflies and pearls. Card measures 5.5" by 2.5" .

I think the sentiment on the inside is so apt for a divorce, it is a pink petticoat digi.

Eclectic Ellapu - Anything Goes

Another challenge at Eclectic Ellapu and our hostess with the mostess is Paula. She has chosen an really easy theme - Anything Goes :) .

I have chosen this Exploding Box Card as my inspiration for you all, my first ever attempt and a custom order for my God Daughter.

These are surprisingly really easy to do, I followed a "scor-pal" tutorial for the measurements using my scor-pal board and used up lots of scraps of paper and cards which is always a bonus in my book too.

I love this "Tilda" stamp, you may have seen it a lot recently (so versatile). I coloured her with promarkers and  then cut her out and attached her to the base of the card so she is standing upright. I added stardust stickles to her champagne glass.

I have embellished the card with paper roses, pearl hearts, crystals, butterflies and ribbon. The gorgeously super sparkly numbers I found in my local craft shop :).

I can definitely see me making more of these :).
